HERE'S A TIP

Tip your fucking waitress (or waiter), and tip them well.

Until recently, it had been 6 years since I was a waitress. All the other part time jobs I had as a teenager I was paid hourly. Honestly, I don't remember what tips were like when I was 16. Mostly because that was a long ass time ago, but probably also because I didn't have but one bill to pay and filling the tank on my 97 Accord cost me about 30 bucks.

Regardless, it's been 2 days since I went out to eat. Unless my waitress/waiter is just total shit and did a worse job than Amanda Bynes does being a role model then I tip AT LEAST 15 percent, if not 20-25 percent. Maybe that is a little bit gracious. But every job I've ever had has been in customer service, and I understand how much of a pain in the ass people can be. If you gave me extra ice, went back after the food was out to get me mayo because I forgot to order it with my food, and was understanding that I am a slow eater so that's why I've been taking up your table for longer than the average person, then you deserve the money.

Just because everyone ordered water and split a large pizza making your bill incredibly low for that amount of people doesn't mean that I didn't work my ass off to keep your drinks full, bring you extra plates and napkins, and bring you ranch dressing for your pepperoni pizza. (I completely understand this by the way, its delicious!)

So the lesson here is yes, tips are yours to control but let go of an extra dollar or two. This girl and many others out there have school, cars, houses, and other important shit to pay for.

Also, might I add that I work in a pretty nice Italian restaurant, not just a pizza joint. I think everyone should have to wait tables at some point in their life, then there would be a whole new level of respect for wait staff.

Okay I think I am done, and I'm not saying sorry.

On a side note! I am having a yard sale Saturday morning and this is my first yard sale as an adult. Does anyone have any advice for having a yard sale? Everything is appreciated!
